I have a savage x that I had a new 4.6 motor put in it and for the 1st hour it would change gears and now it stays in 1st gear???? what do I need to do to get it to change gears ---- thanks for your help

If the motor is running stronger or better than the previous motor, it may need an adjustment for proper shift out. Have you tried to make an adjustment? The access holes are on the side of the tranny. There are videos on youtube that show how to do it if you don't already know.
