tmaxx 3.3

Default tmaxx 3.3

I have a tmaxx 3.3 runs good love the truck but the wheels wobble like crazy why do they do that it is like brand new never wrecked it. I thought it was the pivot ball cups that was too tight but i dont know can somebody help me.

the pivot ball caps are too loose thats why they wobble, turn them til they are snug then back off a 1/4 turn and should take care of most of it.

i tightened the ball cups up and everything but they still wobble so what is the problem

Pretty typical of factory TRX tire/wheel combo's. Ive had Tmaxx's, Revo 3.3's tires and Talon's all do it.

Have you checked the carrier bearings, the hinge pins, A-arms for cracks, bulk head for cracks, slop in the rod ends, slop in any bolts ETC, ETC? Bearing carriers like to become slopy, the stock plastic is weak with no "memory" if you will..... once bent it will stay bent giving you bearing slop. Got to love traxxsucks

As for the pivot ball retainers, I like to take the shocks off to check movement for binding while tightening. You want the retainers as tight as you can get them with the least amount of binding. I like to lightly coat the balls with white lithium grease as well.

i stopped running stock traxxas wheels and tires on my trucks and noticed my problems with their wheels and tires went away
