hi all

i completely took apart my t maxx for cleaning and reassembled it

it works fine but there is a noise coming from the slipper clutch when the truck moves it sounds as though something is rubbing or perhaps grinding, (i replaced the slipper clutch pads) maybe i have not tightened the slipper clutch to the correct setting??

i set my slipper all the way tight, then back it off between 1/4-1/2 turn.

Your CB and spur mesh is probably too tight.

Well if your Mesh is to tight, i use a piece of paper to guage the mesh. Loosen up the motor, turn your spur gear so that it feeds the paper between the spur and clutch bell. Push the clutch bell tight to the spur gear (with the paper still in between the 2 gears) and tighten it all down, then spin the spur the opposite way to get the paper back out. Also when you spin the spur, does it spin nice and straight or does it wobble a little bit? Are you sure you put it back together correctly?
