Default basic rookie question i'm sure

I always have wondered why when people are demonstrating either tuning vids or what have you, after they shut the engine off or it just dies the tug on the starter a couple of times before they start it back up again. Now i do the same thing just because i see everyone else do it, but can someone make sense of this to me i'm thinking its to move fuel threw it or excess?? or maybe i don't know lol.

I think they do it to get the piston from being at the top of the piston sleeve.

They do that to prime the fuel line.

Priming the line, getting the piston to TDC, making sure the one-way engages. That's what I remember from my nitro days.

If an engine is somewhat flooded, it can help clear it out. If it needs to be primed, you can hold your finger on the stinger and pull it over a few times to prime it.
