buying a monster truck

Here's my local track:

Another:

And again:

The track has had a triple added to it since these snaps were taken. It helps keep things 'interesting', in addition to the natural mounds, banked turns and really bumpy astro turf sections (just visible in one of the pictures).
The wooden ramps require quite an agressive style, especially when they are placed close to a turn.
The grass gives an illusion of smoothness...
Traction can be pretty high, but when it gets dry, hard and dusty, grip is low.

I agree, there is definitely a 'Tamiya factor' - it's hard to quantify. It's as evident today as it was when I got my Sand Scorcher - 22 years ago.

Your track is wild. It is a grass type track with jumps and such. Looks like a ton of fun and the trucks will stay resonably clean. I'm a neat freak and hate dirty cars so your track would be a plus. How many guys do you get to race monster trucks.
Our local track gets around 15 trucks at this time and around 20 stadium trucks. I will have pics tonight as I'm deffinately going to practice in a few more hours. I will get a few for you to look at.

Where is this track located at? Our track in in Harrisburg, PA. About 2 hours or so from Philadelphia and around 3 hours from Pittsburg. I'm lucky as I live 15 minutes from the place.

Our track is located at Swansea, Wales. During the summer, we attract about 30 - 40 racers per round.
At the BRCA national rounds we host, numbers have varied between 60-100 entries.
Recent RRCI rounds have been very poorly attended. A combination of Touring cars, popularity of nitro powered buggies and trucks have brought about the end of what was once a very popular series.

One more piccy of the Savage fitted with Viper 40's, which I used successfully towards the end of the season.

One more pic.
My Mugen MBX4RR demonstrates one way of negotiating our triple - sleeping policeman section. The 'he who dares, wins' approach.

Great - glad you like them.
But your US dirt tracks look a real blast - I can't wait to see your track.
Our grass tracks do help keep the trucks fairly clean. Only when it gets wet do things get messy - and I mean really messy!!

One thing most places never racing in the wet. I know the trucks could easily do that but then I would have to spend hours trying to get it clean again. I don't mind cleaning buting hetting a truck all mudded up is not my idea of fun.
Your track looks like it would be a blast to race on.

Ok here is a picture of the track: As you can see it is like indoor supercross for R/C Cars and trucks. If it was bigger we would be watching Ricky Carmicheal racing cycles.
