Default Savage XL problems

The kids and wife bought me the Savage XL for fathers day. Haven't even gotten to get it broken in yet and have had to call HPI to get a new gas tank due to the o-ring not sealing. Received tank and was running it and it just stopped. Don't have throttle or brake. Any ideas?

Did you charge your reciever batteries and radio battery? Chargable batteries come with some power in them brand new, but not much so if you haven't charged the receiver batteries they could be dead

Is your steering working or did it go out as well. If you have steering and no throttle, the servo is more than likely shot. Reverse the servo wires on the receiver and see if the throttle servo will work.
No electrics at all and you have a battery issue or connection problem.

Thanks everyone for your help. Still have steering but no throttle. I have tried all of that so I guess I will be calling HPI tomorrow to see what they will do. Figured it was the servo but didn't know if anyone had any other ideas that I hadn't thought of.

The stock SF-1 servo is crap, HPI will likely send you an upgrade servo for free.
They sent me a Hot Bodies servo when mine went out.
Be nice to them on the phone and they should be nice to you in return.
