the truck rolls back and fourth smooth and when i lift it and turn the spur gear the wheels dont turn is that correct' also i think i havent tightend the slipper hub nut enough i only turned it till it was just tight then stopped so from what youve said i think its slipping

if you lift the truck off the ground and spin the spur gear forward, the wheels should spin also. if you spin the spur backward, the wheels don't spin. if they are not spinning when the spur is spun forward, there is a problem

just double checked and when i do pick the truck up and turn spur wheels do roll forward and not when i roll it backward . the spur gear is pretty loose and wobbles on the slipper hub so i will tighten right up and give a run in the morning

If you only tightened the nut till it started to snug down, you definately need to go tighter. I run mine almost locked

yeah think thats the problem i will tighten it up and give it a go then try and tune the carb it in some more
