Default 17mm hex hub conversion kit 4 savage

Ok, so I'm a sucker and bought the 17mm hex hub conversion for my savage flux only to find that the dogbones on the flux are too big for the cups on the kit. I still have my old nitro savage 4.6 and a couple pre-built diffs for it. Will those diffs fit in the flux? Or what about rebuilding the flux diffs using the outdrives from the 4.6 diffs? Any thoughts? Thanks

I've seen several people run into this same problem. I don't understand why MTs are still using those tiny little axles and 8mm nuts. Even most truggies are 17mm or even 23mm. I would like to see 23 or 24mm become the factory standard for 1:8 scale MT. For now, you may be stuck with a bolt on hub conversion such as the Proline.

If you wanted a wider stance and 17mm hub do the "Divey" mod..... he is a member here and on savage central..... It uses Associated RC8 wide hubs and pins and HPI XL axles.......

Part numbers:
AE 17mm hub-89330

HPI Super Duty Wide Axle-86249

+ YouTube Video

Why would Traxxas adapters fit a HPI product? Are you saying they're all the same?
