Default .21 engine runtimes

hi, i've raced electric for a few years now and am looking to get a nitro buggy. i've heard that the nova plus 4 is really the only choice if you want good power and easy 10min runtime. is this true or am i being led up the garden path here?

+1 for the Nova Plus-4C Team, I pit for my mate in his Losi EU gets easy 12 mins, and i get easy 12's with a Ninja in my Losi truggy but the track, driving style and the car makes a difference.

Surprised I haven't read this yet, but tune is everything. A good race tune and you should be able to get around 10mins for any decent race engine. Driving style and track size are both large factors as well, but tune is crucial.

Why is this thread in Monster Trucks and not the Nitro Engine Off Road section?

thanks for the advice. sounds like i have a few options when it comes to choosing an engine then. i'm not someone who gets runtime easily in 1/8 electric so i expect it will probably be the same deal in 1/8 nitro. going to have to learn how to tune an engine too i guess..

(p.s. - not sure how this thread ended up here of all places. one of the moderators mistakenly moved it here from the nitro offroad section after i initially posted it there. apologies moderators, i'll know better next time)
