What's the most indestructible electric 4x4 1/10 scale MT for bashing?

If you are only considering 1/10 MT's, you only really have two options.
Traxxas Stampede 4x4
HPI Bullet MT
I'm going to throw my 0.02 in and vote for the Stampede 4x4. It is by-far the toughest 1/10 around. It only has two glaring weakpoints, as it is based on the Traxxas Slash 4x4. Parts cost and availability is unmatched. Nevermind getting Bullet MT Parts in the US right now is nearing impossible.
#1: Motor Mount Bearing. The stock one is undersized. Get a GH Racing or Kingheadz aluminum version with oversized bearing. $35 or so.
#2: Rear driveshafts. The plastic parts will get thrashed on 2S, and live short lives on 3S. Picking up the $50 MIP X-Duty CVD's is a must, until the Integy driveshafts come out in June at $30/pair. The fronts are fine, you can run the plastics basically forever.
The only other thing you might want to look at is the RPM extended front bumper, at $12. It's great when you screw up jumps, as you'll just bounce off of it when you hit the ground, rather then smashing the whole front end into the dirt/concrete/grass/whatever.
I personally love the hell out of my Pede. It's nearly as fun to drive as my heavily modified E-Maxx.

Depends if the original poster meant a real 1/10 4x4 or not.
Most of the things being mentioned are really 1/8th scale trucks. To me anything that takes two batts, uses 1/8th electronics, and larger then a 12" wheel base is 1/8th scale.
I would pick the Kyosho DMT-VE, this thing is one of the toughest, most reliable trucks i have ever driven. I have yet to break anything, minus some cracking of the body.
On a side note, i'd love to get my hands on a Kyosho mad force

One of my favorite toughest bashers is a ofna x1-crt with an e-conversion.
Personally if you like the way that looks i would grab a used e-truggy, maybe an ofna like mine, or maybe an older losi 8ight-t, etc. Throw some MT wheels on it, and get a hobbywing esc + a tacon motor and call it a day.

Any good sct with an alloy chassis and cvd's or dogbones. I like the nitro circus by hobbyking. Throw some 2.8 proline trenchers on. Find an mt body that fits. Ultimate 1/10 mt in my opinion.
The revos and Savages being mentioned here are really 1/8 scale.

Old thread with a question that will go on forever. I like how everyone is pointing out that many so called 1/10 scale are actually 1/8 because they are. My buddy has a ERBE and it's much bigger than my stampede 4x4. I beat it pretty good and the body is the only thing getting broken! I did buy it used with the axles upgraded. I have been around enough RTRs that I am past the illusion of there not being a couple week points.

Hands down summit!! I've had my fair share of vehicles over the years and the summit is my favorite!! Not very fast but fast enough!! Don't really break anything due to lower speeds but can go anywhere and tackle any obstacle in its path!! If you desire more speed you can always just slap in a brushless setup and your good to go!! Low and high gear and can lock the diffs in with a switch on the remote it's pretty pricey but worth every cent!! Haven't had mine very long maybe a couple of months and already have all kinds of upgrades on it!! But those upgrades were not needed in box stock form the thing is a BEAST!! What I love about this is you can literally take it anywhere and have a blast with it if I want speed I have other vehicles for that but If I could only keep one it would be the summit due to the amount of stuff it can do!! Hope this helps out on some of your decisions!!

Here's a new recommendation, Vaterra Halix, durable out of the box and only needs a couple things to make it a tank. MIP cvd axles, brass slipper bushing from RRP, and DX4c radio for tuning the AVC. Shocks with thicker shafts will be better but not required. I got my hands on Losi 8ight buggy shocks but they are hard to come by, I did find that Serpent buggy front shocks & truggy front shocks should fit with minor modding. I also got hpi body mount extensions to push the stock ones lower.
One thing to help control the crazy 3s power, get the Vaterra Pre-Runner, mount the Halix bumpers, MT tires and you got yourself a stretch Halix & a SCT. I haven't had a chance to get the Pre-Runner chassis parts yet so I can't say how much of a difference it makes for keeping the front end down.
