Default Single Titan 775 in E-Maxx 3905

Hi, everybody. I see lots of E-maxx's around the web with a single Titan 775 swapped for the dual Titan 550s. My question is how does this setup compare to the dual 550's performance-wise? I am getting tired of the short lifespan of the dual 550's, but I don't want to go brushless because 1) I can't afford it. 2) I am pretty happy with the stock E-maxx performance 3) I live in Seattle and bought the Maxx to be my wet weather vehicle. Thanks in advance!

Well I have a 775 in a EMaxx but havent ran it yet...

But with that being said I had one in a ERevo before going brushless... My 550s died and I knew I was going brushless at some point so I did the single motor mount and so on... The 775 has a little more torque then the twins to start with. As far as speed it is about the same when geared up (I think I was running 21/68 stock was 18/68). The motor dose run cooler then the 550s also, that is always a good thing...

One down side of doing it in a EMaxx is that you cant play with the gearing too much, due to motor / trans clearance. Also on the Maxx the motor mount has to be modified in order to bolt it up (the 775 has a larger bolt pattern over the 550s)...

That's what I was hoping to hear. From what I have read most people gear a 3905 Maxx 20/68 with a 775 due to clearance issues. The electronics running cooler is a huge plus, because the twin titans seem like they run a little hot when geared stock. Thanks for the reply!
