I took it out for some practice tonight and I had the suspension too stiff. I had 50wt in Traxxas Big Bore shocks and it was too stiff overall for our track. Truck had moster power and I could spin the tires all over. I think once I get the suspension right it will be a ton better.

Why didn't you use the shocks that come with it? Are no good?

They would work but just like the stock T-Maxx shocks they are plastic so I went with aluminum ones instead. The stock ones will work fine.

I have not broken anything yet. I woud keep the standard spares on hand, spur gear, steering knuckles, a arms and some of the slider driveshafts that run to the wheels. That would cover most of what you might break. Extra body mounts might be cool to.

The TNX looks like a super quick truck. I was thinking of getting one but since they're new I couldn't come across a good deal on a used one, so I went with a used Savage. It's a good truck as well, but so far it doesn't look near as fast as the stock TNX's do on the vids.

Never tried racing a Savage in a straight drag race but I would say that the TNX is faster. Mainly because it is almost 4 to 5 pounds lighter and the new 18 motor in the TNX is built by OS and runs incrediably strong.

I've got a TNX that I race and a Savage, the TNX is, BY FAR, the faster truck in all respects.

I ran my truck yesturday at the track. Well lets say alot of guys couldn't beleive I had just a .18 motor in the truck. It had no problem running with any of the trucks on the track. IT had tons of power and fast acceleration. Gearing is just right on this truck and the OS built motor is awesome. Couldn't ask for any more out of a truck.

Next will be to put on a Tiger Drive or RotoZip starter. Will save me alot of weight.

I did run it. It did great. I qualified 2nd by less than 100th of a second and won the A main with it. Not bad for the first race on it and first time ever racing offroad with a monster truck.
