If the 2350 turns out to be a 'hot' motor like the 5700kv (and the higher kvs), running it in hot temps, even with gearing charges, its prob still going to run hot. This thing we don't know is if it is a 'hot' motor or not.

I'm concerned about it cause the Flux is a pretty heavy truck. This is apparently a one of a kind for Castle (which I'm guessing makes it for HPI since they make the esc) in that these motors are apparently not going to be available generally like the 2200.

i think the 2350 motor is a rebadged neu motor, from the new series, 1415 or 1412 size?? that is the most logical answer isn`t it??

Possible, but it would have to be a diff wind, since there's nothing in Neu's lineup thats close to that kv.

http://www.neumotors.com/Site/1400_series.html

It would also have to be being produced in Castle's Chinese motor plant since Neu prob couldn't keep up with the potential demand. Castle has an agreement with Neu, so thats not a prob. Castle has also designed a motor that Neu doesn't offer (1717) so its poss the 2350 may be a new one.

Everyone is so interested in the upcoming MMM-XL and the HV (8S) that this new motor is being ignored for the most part.

Anyone have this truck yet? I am very close to buying off tower for $440. Seems like a sweet deal for such a tough truck.

I found a video on youtube of the new Flux....I cant post b/c I just registered. Just search for "savage 2350".

Not sure if I will make it the week without ordering......seems like a no brainer. I am looking for something a little more powerful than the pede. MY T-Maxx is 10 years old........I am done with Nitro.

I decided to get rid of my E-Maxx to get it. The E-Maxx was fun, I had a Novak brushless system in it and every RPM part you could think of. I clocked it a 38mph with safe gearing. But it broke often. Very often. From everything I've read, the Flux is a much more durable truck. I was originally going to buy the Flux HP, but after hearing about the 2350, I decided it was a better choice for me since I have a nice radio system and don't plan on going above 4S. We'll see if it was a good idea this weekend.

I just about bought the new Flux myself tonight, but ended up just buying more batteries for my ERBE, a charger, and a BUNCH of fun hop ups instead... lol.

I'm going to wait till I hear a bit more about it, as heavy as the Savage is I'm curious how the motor will hold up.

Haven't seen any detail on thi smotor yet. You'd guess it was a Castle design prob produced in their Chinese motor plant since they're making the esc, but beyond that, haven't seen any info.

I know my E-Maxx was a bit lighter, but the Novak 5.5 motor I was running was a 3700 kV motor, and it didn't seem to have any problems pushing the truck. Temps were a little on the high side, but I monitored them and never crossed the threshold of possible damage. The Flux is of course heavier, but the motor is also rated a lot lower than what I was using previously. That boosts my confidence that the 2350 will be up to the task. But, of course, only time will tell.

I also ordered one last night. Only problem is waiting on batteries....I ordered 2 flightmax from Hobby King. Not sure when they will be here.

I also go a nice deal on a Traxxas 2.4 GHZ radio. I can install they while waiting.

Should be fun running this and the Stampede together. This will make the stampede look like a child. This is my first non traxxas truck.

I will take some pics and hopefully get a decent video up by the end of the month.

Nice! I went ahead and changed all my Turnigy LiPo's over to deans connectors this week. They are fully charged and waiting for the truck to arrive tomorrow. I also picked up a Spektrum DX2.0 on the cheap from Ebay last weekend that should arrive either today or tomorrow, so I plan on installing that in the truck before running it. This is my first non-Traxxas as well, and I'm hoping that I never look back. Maybe we'll have to start a new "Official Savage Flux 2350 thread" when we get some pictures taken.

I have zero experience with this. I have a soldering gun but should I just take it to the LHS and have them do it?
