Traxxas has a tuning DVD that explains all that in detail, go to eBay anbd buy one, its not posted -

Or maybe you can convince Traxxas to sell or give you one, try calling customer service.

When mines cold, I have to blip the throttle to keep it running. Only when its at operating temp is it going to just sit and idle. I also have to give it s little gas when I crank it. Again, when its warmed up it'll crank without the added throttle.

Is this the series on Utube you found?

Doe's your engine overheat? if that's the case your running to lean, you need to adjust your low speed and idle to correct the problem.

Not practical - do the Traxxas engine replacement program, thats your cheapest option. The parts alone will cost almost as much if not more than the engine.

I wouldn't buy a cheap engine - you're likely to have trouble (air leaks, hard to tune, difficult to make run right etc). And if you do get it running right, it likely won't come close to the power the 3.3 makes making your T a real slug.

$70 for a 3.3 is going to be hard to beat considering what you're getting.
