Default Flux 5th scale conversion

So, has anyone over on this forum done this and how are you enjoying it. 2 members on another forum I frequent have the conversion installed and said they would NEVER go back to regular or XL length TVPS. They said the whole rig is just more fun to use since you can actually use the power instead of just flipping all over. I know that I have a hell of a time controlling my truck on just 4s, it has LOADS of power compared to the tons of other brushless lipo rigs I have owned.

Here is my plan.

plus

I already have the truck, and the extended axles, and I plan on ordering the above. My truck already has the bulletproof diffs, and I plan on putting the LST shocks on it that I have in my parts box as well but I am afraid they will sacrifice ride height which I will need when its that size.

Whats your thoughts?

One of the RC magazines did one a couple weeks ago with b5 wheels and body lights ect.... It looked really tight. I think the mag was radio controll car action, you've got to see this one for insperation! It really made me think about converting my xle! I bought the Mag's like 2 weeks ago, it's on the cover you can't miss it!

All awesome builds. It seems that it helps keeps this power house much more planted and of course it just looks awesome. Some are running 4s, 5s, and 6s and all seem to be having good results as long as it is geared right. I have three sets of new 4s packs here which is ok for me to start because I don't need ballistic speed at my house. May pick up one or two 6s sets if I ever go to some larger play areas. Also thinking of the buggy body instead of truck to help save weight plus I love the look.

Everyone seems happy with the conversion so it looks like I just may pull the trigger

I like the looks of moving the tranny forward and mounting the battery on the inside however not really into how the bodies look on it. Making it look kinda weird. Itd be cool if the geometry let it use a 5b body like the TCS conversion does.

The only thing I dont like about this conversion is what to do for a motor and esc and batts, I have a savage xle with flux 2200kv and mamba monster with 2 Hyperion 3s vx5000 35c batts and I can't get it to run very cool even with a 9tooth pinion? I wonder what adding a few more pounds would do? I smell smoke and maybe fire. Lol!

The one in the magazine said he's running 2 2s thunderpower sport packs 28c I believe. I bet he only runs it for 5min at a time lol before the esc is over 150deg on a cool day!

If you do this conversion I would plan on getting a 10s capable esc or higher and mounting the batterys inside the tvp's and not in the flux batt boxes and less than a 2200kv motor.

If he's running a 2650kv on 4s it's got to be getting so hot so quick!
If anyone from TCS or radio controlled car action could chime in on this would be great! This would help people not fry esc's!
My 2cents
