Default LST XXL Issues

So I got a good deal on a XXL and bought it. Now for my problem...when I start it up it idles VERY fast (wheels are spinning like its going around 20 mph) I have tried the throttle tab to slow it down and that has so far done no good. I am a relative noob and I think I need a wee bit of help. I have downloaded the manual from the Losi sight and it is not the best tool I am finding out. I figured you guys (and gals) here would be a much better choice of folks to ask. Any suggestions? Also as a side note I noticed that when it was running it was blowing a lot of fuel outta the muffler also. And also (i know I am using my limit of problems) when I steer it, the right turn seems crisp and snappy, but the left not so much. Is that normal? Thanks a ton for any help.

Your engine needs to be tuned big time. Is there a local hobby shop near by. I am not that good of a tuner. I have a pro that tunes my engines at all my races. But thats main issues. Its not hard to set up End Point Adjustments they tell you that in the manual. The truck is a good one. I love mines.

Many of the xxl's need the thottle linkage spring adjusted so the slide is pushed CLOSED when the radio is at idle. Then you can use the speed screw to the idle speed wanted. If the linkage doesn't close all the way you will go crazy trying to get a consistent idle. Every time you hit the throttle is will stop at a different place. This is the very first step.
