thanks man, got the new motor in a few days ago just waiting on the new motor mounts and it will be up and running.. should be here tomorrow. ill be bringing it to the local indoor track to test out a little bit tomorrow night aslong as the mounts come, ill also be racing my slash.
the truck might be going into the Mag RC Driver..
last friday i was at the track here is what happend.
my check was a HUGE attention graber as EVERYONE was checking it out as they passed by, all said it was sweet etc etc but there was this one but
there was a guy that kept passing by and he finally stopped in my pit area and was like.. (friend told me what he said as i wasn't there) "ive been eyeballing this truck alllll night, thing is COOL!" started bsing with the guy then he took off for a smoke, he then came back and was like you know what put it down, im taking pics of it to send the the editors!" i was like what?!?!?! really?!?!?! then i was like dam wish it had the motor in it lol would of look that much better.....
he should be there tomorrow, so im hoping the truck is done so he can see the finished product.

haven't updated this in a while but i took the truck to the track last friday to have its maiden voyage..... i ran it for about 3 mins as i knew it was not ready to be run. IE nothing loctited etc...
but the truck HAULS.
with it as stock savage flux you grab a finger full of full throttle the truck would flip right over or do a backflip, WELL at the track i did the exact same thing full throttle starts, the front tires didn't lift AT ALL! the truck squatted a little and hauled butt altho it wouldn't turn for poop, but i later found out that my servo saver was messed up along with me forgeting the scew for the servo arm :duh:

after seeing the huge difference this truck is going to be amazing when it comes to race day...

also, finally did the deed and opened up the diffs and put the real truggy outdrives in since because in the rear i couldn't set the camber right as the cups were not right.. all is good now i also filled the front diff with 20k and the rear has 7k, i believe i filled the center with 7k aswel.

another thing i decided im going to TRY is the plastic center diff gear from the 8T. im doing this for a few reason, the plastic spur is much smoother, along with quieter... i hate the noise the flux makes with the metal to metal so this should solve that. also its much cheaper to replace a $8 plastic gear compared to a $12-15 pinion gear. also cheaper to change out a $8 spur if i want to up a tooth or go down a tooth.
this is what i got
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

now if this gear wont fit the x2 diff cup i also ordered a 8T diff cup

well i ended up makeing a few changes... major one was a esc relocation. i fabed up my own mount from behind the motor out of plexi glass and used the traxxas esc hold down.

what ya think?

That thing is kicka$$!!!!!!!!!! Be sure to get a vid of it running soon man! I have my E-Revo up and running, thing hauls even on 14.4v.
I'll be running in the 4th annual Michigan Off-Road Carpet Championships with it, can't wait. No brushless at the race tho lol has to be brushed.

got some vid of the truck today. thing is a beast.. literally will smoke the tires right off of it..
the track is way to small for the truck but its still fun. i did end up racing it and doing a few launches off the jumps...

Yeah, my local carpet track is also a bit small. I raced there last night with my E-Revo, great truck, I love it.
