Default Savage something better than picco 0.28?

Hi I just got myself a savage X 4.6, my friend has one as well with a picco 0.28 in it. What motor can I get that will out perform his?

Only thing on my mind is TM728
Any other options?

I was thinking about putting high end truggy race engines in but most if not all dont come as roto start.

Thanks

A modified Picco 28 will rip his doors off..... other then that there is nothing else thats going to outperform his engine, providing his engine is tuned and setup correctly......the RB728 will get killed by the Picco 28 FYI

X2 Modded picco .28 is the only chance you have. There are other things out there that can beat it but you are talking much more money than it is worth. I have a picco .26 outlaw that smokes my friends picco .28 on top end but low end they are on par.

I myself am getting a modded picco .28 in a week or so. The power some of the better modders can get out of those picco's is sick man enough to blow if the best built truck to pieces.

Thanks for all you replies... Im suprised to here that there is really only one option to go.

Having said that who else sells modded picco .28 besides SMF Store?

Will the Picco be much better than the LRP 28? I ask because I have one in a buggy and it is alot slower than buggies with RB WS7 in it and thats a .21

Here is the thing a .21 has a high max rpm than a .28 making it faster and when you are talking truggy's or buggy's a .21 is where it is at. But for the big MT (Not revo's and stuff) you want the extra low end power put out by a .28 as your top speed isn't so much the issue as how long it takes to get there.

There are a lot of modders out there if you look around clockwork and ERCM are just two. There is AB mods, RB mods, and the list goes on and on. I have my favorite modder but this is not the place to get into that little war. Do some research and make your own decesion.

As for the lrp .28 vs the picco.28 unmodded they are pertty close in power however the picco is made better than the lrp and has much more potentual in the hands of a good engine modder.

I hope you get something that works for you and good luck blowing the bloody doors off your Buddies truck.
