Default Revo Single Servo

Right now i am running the 2 stock servos, combined making 250 oz of torque, they are just so slow since i put bigger tires on. I know its a monster truck, but its bad. What single servo are you guys upgrading to?

Also, i know there are instructions out there somewhere to modify stuff to give better turning radius. any links to that?

I'm using a JR DS8711. Pricey, but they do the job.

Your E-Revo should have come with an optional steering stop that allows increased steering travel. If you lost it or bought it used, you can modify your stock one as shown below:

yeah it is a great truck. theres a few tweaks i need to make it better though. i really had good luck with it the last 4 months or so. Now everything is happening to it at once.

steering issues
receiver problems

Im at work and can not research the exact model number, but on my 3.3 revo I used the Hitech servo with 333oz of touque.

It was considerably faster, stronger and a huge improvement over the dual stock servos. It was very noticable on the track, as in night and day difference, but for bashing I didnt feel it was worth the $100+ for the conversion.

I use an Airtronics 94358 with 200oz and .10sec travel time. Works great.

Visit the Traxxas website, and under the Pit Pass tab, Steve Slayden details ALL of the tricks to get THE MOST steering out of the Revo. Some of them are pretty Dremel-intensive, and only for the racer, but the single servo conversion, and the steering stop item are explained there very well.

the best one i used, for the money, was the Hobbico CS170
i used the proline single side servo arm and it worked AWESOME.

MUCH better than 2 5645mg's

I use a Futaba bls452 for steering and a bls451 on throttle. Not the fastest or most powerful servos, but Iv'e never had a Futaba servo fail on me. Ever.

I'm gonna use the DS1015 from ACE. Fast and 210oz. should be enough. I'm currently using only one stock servo. (sucks)
