Talking This is were the marathon begins... r u ready.

Yes, I'm shifty.

I my parts back from the ano shop today so I can start put my flux back together. I don't like all the gunk that accumulates on the drive cups and dog bones, so I'm trying out some dry lube to see how it work, also used it on the ring and pinion so I done get grease leaking out all the time.

From having 5 colours

and now only two

will go nicely with my orange TCS tvp's.

The shock bodies and a-arm shock mounts I got hard anodised for hopefully some scratch resistance.

Time to rebuild my shocks.

Nice build!!!

As for the shocks, I use 50 wt in my Savage and it gives it a good bounce back for my taste, but mine is probably a lb or two heavier than your flux (much bigger), so 40wt should be great. I'd highly recommend the stiffer Yellow springs, or look on ebay for the Raven progressive springs, I've heard ppl swearing by those.

Also a quick upgrade for the LST shocks (pointed to me by savagesam) is the Losi Muggy shock shafts, they will shorten the shocks 19mm, giving a better stance.

Have you gotten the Savage RSC yet? ITS AMAZING!!! And it'd look great in that color..

Where'd you get your parts anodized? I'd have my FLM Savage redone in a heartbeat from black to who knows if I could choose my own color.

GREAT PICS btw! I'm excited to see it go back together.

Thanks Casey, yeah I want to get the RC Raven springs, I ended up using 50wt see how it goes. The muggy shaft is a good idea, but if I don't like the ride hieght I'll just take the easy way and use some fuel tube. No RSC, would be nice. Here's where I had it done,

Collins Anodic Treatment
4 Cottage st, Blackburn
Victoria, Australia.
ph. 98774780

Not much good for you in the U.S. though.

Thanks for the props guys :resp:. Yeah the orange came out great. It cost me $100 for the lot a little more then I was expecting, but I haven't had parts hard ano'd before so maybe that bumped up the cost.

Anyway done the shocks.

TIP for first timers make sure you get all the air out of the fluid. Be patient it could take a while.

Now for the rear end.

Rear end has 20k fluid and is shimmed up nice. I'm using Platinum Products wing mount plate and wing stay, so I moved the shocks to the front of the tower so I don't have to mod anything. I couldn't find M3 screws long enough so I used threaded rod instead.

Now up front I got rid of the rx box and replaced it with PP mid tank plate. I relocated the servo under the plate so I could moved the ESC up front. I'm just going to wrap the RX in a balloon. 30k fluid in diff. Will mounting the antenna (2.4gig) close to the esc cause any glitching?

Motor & trans

I'm knackered and can't be stuffed doing anymore, so that will do until tomorrow.
