Though I cant find it, I am sure its been asked before, but I would apperciate the help.

I plan on buying an eRevo with in the next couple of weeks. I already have a 2.4 fasst reciever and radio, and though I dont own one, I would like a Tekin RX 8 system, but its not necessary.

Am I better off, price wise, buying the BL eRevo and selling the radio and Mamba system, and using the money to pay for the Tekin.

Or am I better off buying the eRevo and swapping out the Brushed gear for the Tekin, that I still have to buy,

or is the Mamba gear that comes with it good for the occasional race.

I run the MM2200/MMM in my RC8e, and havnt had one problem out of it and love it for that fact, unless you just want Tekin for whatever reason i would just keep the MMM/2200kv setup ansd save yourself some money for other upgrades, at the last big race we had at our track there were 3 RX8 that bit the dust

Think you'd be better off buying the ERBE and selling the trx 2.4 radio, they go for 50-100 on ebay. The Erevo brushed stuff won't get you much. Keep teh MMM combo and run it. If you don't like it you can sell it then. I've got 3 of the CC Combos (Flux G2R and FLM Emaxx) and they've been sweet.

The Mamba Monster ESC and Castle NUE combo are awesome , no need to run the RX8 as its not gonna be more powerful , maybe smoother , but you have to almost be crawling for the Mamba Monster ESC to stutter . Not knocking the RX8 , I am sure its a top nothch system also , but the Mamba Monster 2200Kv system on 4s is all the E REVO needs IMO , you could run 6s for thrills but 4s is just right IMO .

Buy the Brushless Edition E REVO and sell the Traxxas 2.4Ghz radio system , I have seen them go for 90 dollars on Ebay ...

I planned on 4 cells only, I have a few week old SMC 5200 and planned on just buying a second one.

Im glad to hear the Mamba system is good. Im not crazy about rtr gear, in general but this seems to be the exception. I was also worried about sensorless but Im usually not at a crawl either.

i mean the system in side it uses a neu motor with a castle esc

the flux system is the monster max with a different motor can and different stickers on the esc its all castle creations.
