Default Hardcore Racing Mutant Maxx Pictures

My local on-road track has a class for monster trucks which is dominated by 40 Series equipped, lowered, hot-rod T-Maxxes. In response, I built a Hardcore Racing Mutant Maxx. This titanium chassis drastically lowers the center of gravity by bolting to the bottom of the bulkheads instead of the top. In effect, it converts the T-Maxx into an 1/8 buggy. I lost the 2-speed, but gained front/rear brake bias control, which is a HUGE performance advantage on the track. The truck is powered by a bump start ported Sirio .27 (3.5 HP at 42,000 RPM) The steering servo is an Airtronics that puts out 200 oz. of torque. The reciever is powered by a 5-cell 6v 2700 mah NiMH pack, and I control everything with a Futaba 3PJS PCM radio.

I haven't had a chance to run it yet, but I was so excited about finishing the project, I thought I'd share a few pics.

I know that engine is probably huge but it looks so small in that truck, I think you need a bigger one, lol. Very nice truck though.

Also nice Enzo in the avatar.
