Default Which Monster Truck?

Hello everyone,

New to the forums but not RC! Been out of the game for awhile and looking to get back in to Monster Trucks. When I chose a truck I want to be able to customize that hell out of it like with the T-Maxx with Integy parts. Is this a good truck to get or should I look at something else instead. I would like an opinion on a Nitro Truck 4WD and a Nitro Truck 2WD and the same for electric. All of your help would be great in helping me decide here.

Thanks...

Most integy parts are garbage. Their alloy is crap. If you can afford it just get a savage flux off the start. Super durable and power houses in stock form.

What about a nitro truck? Which one do you like?

Hey now its not all about me! Im not really a nitro fan, but if I where to buy a nitro I would probably get a revo. Like those trucks. I used to have a Tmaxx wayyy back in the day and it was fun as well but they are real outdated at this point.

Im more of a brushless lipo kind of guy. I would really lean towards the savage flux. Man that thing will make any nitro truck look like its standing still.

Im also a huge fan of 4wd especially on a monster truck.

I'm liking that savage XL a lot. Looks like a mean truck, how fast do these bad boys go? Can I get better motors for it. When I look up motors all I see our 3.0 or 2.8 size. If they call it a 5.9 how come I don't see other modified 5.9 out there?

Most, if not all motors go by the size of the engine in cubic inches.
For example, the LRP Z.28R Spec 3 (a great monster truck engine) is .28 cubic inches, or 4.6 cubic centimeters.
Also, any ~.21-.30 size engine should fit.

I have a Savage XL and I love it. This thing takes a beating and asks for more. I personally have had no issues with it at all. There are a ton of upgrades you can do to it if you are one of those aluminum fans. Only thing I have done is put a Grave Digger body on it I also have an LRP .30 for it but the 5.9 is still running strong.

Thanks. I'm a alum junkie and will buy all those parts for sure. I love the look. When it come to chosing these parts who has the better material quality? Earlier in this thread some said that Intergy has crappy alloy. So who's are the best choice?

There are many good truck I would suggest the mgt 8.0 if you just want to bash and have fun. The savage it a really good truck but the mgt has more power I think but both are very fun and dependable trucks, the t-maxx is a great truck too but some times can be a pain as the 3.3's can be a pain with tuning but if you know what your doing it's not bad. But I will recommend to stay away from integy parts unless the truck will be a shelf queen, there parts bend/break/leak too much.
