now granted my picco .28 is not tuned yet and still going through break-in, and I've got savage XL tires on it, but man, it is NOWHERE near where your beast is.

props again
thanks alot....and im sure one that picco is fully broken in it willl be haulin' some azz too..
thanks, im trying to find a place that has some jumps so i can get some air time....
max.. a truggy is more worry free, but it goes through clutches to fast, and parts are gonna get hard to find for my MBX5T. especally the arms...but if you only do a few upgrades the revo can handle pertty much anything.
I installed RRP C+P's on my revo, aluminum diff cups... etc..my issues were wit the chassis bending at the engine plate and stripping spurs, as well at the time the tranny was only good for a few tanks before the gears melted....I couldn't take any air without the spur stripping, and i couldn't do many speeed runs without the tranny letting go...apparently there are tranny gears now that can hold, but I still wonder how your reinforcing the the engine plate not to bend on big air..... My Mugen is over 40 gallons old, I have replaced 1 A-arm so far and a few hinge pins and toe plates, still on stock orginal diffs...its entire life being spent taking big air running modified 28's... Control arms are not something to worry about on a Mugen, they are about as tough of an RC as your going to find anywhere..I have a stock of a few sets sitting in my parts bin so I am likely good for another 40 gallons or so anyways....plus Mugen is great for keeping parts for their past vehicles....
What is the top speed of your revo right now ? my Mugen is doing mid 50's with the setup in the video.....you should do a speed run on video and we can compare which machine reaches 50 faster..... I am curious to see which one is faster to be honest.... I know the revo is dam fast, but I am pretty sure the Mugen can plant the power better ... would be an interesting comparison..... tho I guess my modded motor is a unfair advantage ! either way your truck looks wicked, gotta love the power of the Ninja 28's !

40 GALLONS!!! thats like $1600 worth of fuel!!...but ive been geared 17-36 and it hits mid 50's.but it gets there very fast. it gets 38mph in first gear, and when second gear hits it just like a afterburner and bumps it another 15mph or so. when i hade this motor in my MBX5T it was FAST. and it seemed to rev for ever. with the motor in the revo, its just insane tourqe and acceleration......i dont think a mugen would beat it, moded or not.
Maximo why do you get into every post this guy makes and start your "well my mugen this that, it would probably beat it"
seriously, wtf?
one swift kick in the NUTS!
nice revo by the way..i have raced the crap out of all the current 1/8 scale truggys out there....and i had a 3.3 revo..the revo wins in the "fun" department..i love wheelies!
i used to take mine to the skate park..it really didnt break that much
Good luck in your HP adventure

you sound like a 14 year old trying to get into a peeing contest.
Cuz he has a Mugen, and i am having a little playful fun busting his balls over running the Ninja in a revo instead of his Mugen... he knows i am not being a dick or looking for a fight.... If i was offending him he would tell me.....
And I have owned a Revo as well, and now own a mugen, and i know the differences in the platforms and I don't for a second beleive the revo would pull the Mugen, in fact i think the Revo would end up on its lid every time he tried to apply full power ..The Mugen is able to plant 100% of the power of the engine with no worries over wheelying over backwards......In theory the revo will be faster, but in reality the stability and ability to plant the power will win the race for the truggy....sure if the revo has a perfect run and can stay on its tires it has a good chance of winning, however with a Ninja 28 the revo is going to be wheelying everywhere and would have a very hard time making a clean full throttle pass from a dead stop..... It is a interesting race, and one I would definitely love to have...... I very well may be wrong, but untill we do some top speed testing on video we have no way of knowing...... Absolutemayhem is a speed freak just like I am, I truly dont think he takes any offence to what I am saying...or at least I hope not...
stock vs stock my bet would be the Ninja/GRP takes down the OS.....sure the OS has more power, but the Ninja/GRP has more RPM...... any extra power the OS has will be lost in tire spins and wheelies, the extra RPM of the ninja/Grp will let it have a slightly higher top speed..... I have both engines, and think they are both fantastic, but I do feel the Ninja/GRP is the faster engine, and the OS is the more powerful engine...

dude he said grunt..he aint ask for rpm..
and you would be surprised of how much that os 28xz can rev
well, i already have this motor. i sure dont want to spent $300 on another motor. besides, the GRP TUNED is the highest quality .28 you can get.os make good motors, but the italian motors are a step above.
also when i said grunt, i ment overall power... if i wanted grunt i would get an lrp .30
and you would be surprised of how much that os 28xz can rev
I know what a OS 28 can do..I owned a few and have modded quite a few, and have even converted them to pullstart ! i love the engine...but IMO the GRP/Ninja is still as faster engine....
Grunt=Picco 28 IMO anyways
OS 28 a good blend of grunt and RPM
Ninja/GRP more tailored to RPM
