Rear bearing failure
What could cause 2 failed rear crank bearings on trx 3.3 engines ?
One from a revo one from a slayer there about 3 and 4 months old and only have about a gallon on each a lil more on the slayer.
The rear crank bearing in the slayers engine totally failed and broke up in the engine before i realized what was going on.
So then last week i was racing my slayer around with a 2.5r with my buddy's new revo and his started to exhibit the weird tuning that the slayer did before the bearing failed in it.
So outa curiosity i offered to crack it open and take a peak low and behold the rear bearing in his engine has play in it and does not spin smoothly.
Both these engines where broken in perfectly and ran very well till this happened temps where around 220-240 they where also both running odonnell 20%RTR, afterun after every run and air filters where cleaned and oiled regularly.
I really want to know if theres something i was doing wrong before i go chewing traxxas a new one.
