i went racing yesterday at my local rc track for the first time and i qualified 4th for the A main and ended up winning it!!! it was sooooooooo awesome.

the only thing ive done to it are tires/wheels, sway bar kit, wing, and thats it. im buying a spektrum radio in a couple weeks tho!!! cant wait

good job, keep it up. and realize u will only get faster, not b/c of more 'hop ups' but b/c of your time behind the wheel. leave that truck alone and run it as she is (radio i understand)....so many times u see rides (especially in MT) that have all this 'stuff' on them that they paid a pretty penny for...and u know what? it breaks more often or they still cant drive. still recall when i did some MT racing waltzing around all those truck w/all that 'stuff' on em w/a stock LST on race rubber. good times.

save your $ and let others behind you buy the 'hop ups', keep the truck healthy and it'll serve you well.

PS- saw your race. revos should come w/rx packs IIRC, hopefully u dont use AAs, steering looked a lil slow. prolly stock servos. just remember to ease up and let those other guys make the mistake and go by. lotta that in MT. looks like ur tryin just a lil too hard in the chicanes. if you have a front sway bar on, try disconnecting it tor loosening the preload. if you are running any weight try to redistribute some of it towards the front, even if only a lil bit (but do not hack up the truck in process).

ya im using the stock servos with AA batteries but im planning on getting a battery pack instead for my next race. and im buying a radio. but in that video i was trying wayyy to hard to go fast. i was doing really good in my first qualifier and thought i could go faster and i didnt lol but i did a fantastic job in the main. i wish i had it on video b/c it was awesome. in the 10 min main i only wrecked probly 3-4 times. it was awesome.

There are some free steering mods you can get more steering out of your truck with, later tonight I'll find some links.
