Default exv2 on clod

i just bought an exv2 for my clod, and i tried making a y adapter so i can use 1 batt and after connecting it i puffed a 4s lipo. can this be done on this esc or do you have to run dual batteries. please help maybe i made the y connector wrong it seemed to short imediatelly after it touched the connectors.

Show us a pic of the connector? I think maybe you wired it wrong. It should work, but I seem to remember the BEC runs off one battery connector though, that might be a problem.

You can do this, but you have to place the batt on the BEC side of the EVX and use a jumper to short the unused inputs.

I assume your y conn was intended to take a pr of 2S and place them in series for a 4S? Did you leave one side on the evx empty?

Use a 2S and attach it to one side leaving the other empty. Turn on EVX switch - if the light comes on, this is the BEC side of EVX - the 4S will conn here. The other side needs a simple jumper.
