Pretty much any 1/8 differential will work since race buggies/truggies are so similairly made between companies. I tried popping in another 1/8 center diff from a few years ago and it fit albeit not well because it was not 48t

21 inches or 54 cm is pretty close.

I didn't clarify, but I'm not sure how wide it is exactly. I had a broken XL body before and it's obviously wide enough for savages. I assume if your 54cm is correct then your width is also close.

I have a question for people running savages at this point in time ---> what pinions do you use? I will be running my truck here soon and I need some new pinions starting from 11t to 15t because I cannot seem to get them to stay on.

What pinions will fit with the 52 tooth spur gear? And is there a bigger spur available for the Flux HP? I have been googleing this stuff for hours...

I am wanting to get my truck pretty much as low as possible, but don't want to waste a bunch of money on gears only to find most of them won't fit.

The 20/44 is WAAAY to high. I have an extra 18 tooth pinion laying around, but that isn't going to be nearly enough.

Just as an example, I currently run my E-Revo with a MM2/2200 combo with an 18/68 setup and it's still geared too high for my use. I run 6S mainly because I have 10 3S batteries. I do like the higher voltage though because it's keeps things running cooler.

I don't think there is much room for a bigger spur but you can go with a smaller pinion.

Why do you think 20/44 is way too high?
That's stock gearing on the HP with the cc 2200kv motor.
Perhaps you're using a different motor, larger and or heavier wheel/tire combo, binding in your drivetrain?
Is it a nitro conversion?

Comparing the pinion and spur with an e-revo won't be the same as a savage because of the different differential and transmission gear ratios.

If you're really set on getting the smallest pinion/largest spur combo, then you can use this calculator to get the same distance between the two gear shafts.

I am well aware that the Revo has different ratios, I was just stating that for people that are familiar with the Revo. While 18/68 isn't the lowest you can go on a Revo, it's fairly low. I plan to put a smaller pinion on it though too, even though temps are great on it, I just don't need that much speed. I have my radio dialed down from 150% to 100% on throttle, lol. I jump and bash my Revo and Savage, no speed runs.

Stock gearing on the Savage is just too fast for my needs and motor temps run higher than I want. Basically right now I am running the stock setup, but with an extended chassis on 6S.

That link you gave me is exactly the type of thing is was looking for. I was needing to know what would "fit". THANK YOU!

The stock 20/44 puts the spur and motor shaft at 1.06", or 26.99mm, away from each other according to that page.

A 12/52 combination also comes out at 1.06".

I plan to use the 52 tooth spur, but not sure if I will go as small as a 12 tooth pinion. Might just order a 12, 14, and 16 and see what happens.

Quick question for my fellow savage owners, I recently sold my nitro engine in my savage and now I'm going to convert to brushless. I already have a flux extended with flm chassis, now this one will be short wheelbase. But I'd like to do a tekin system t8 motor this time around, can someone please help me with some info on which motor mount I'll need ? Thanks
