well congrats on your purchase of the best all around MT on the market
as for things to do with it ....just enjoy it...lol...some ppl say to change the lower motor mount with a dynamite...as for me ive raced mine hard for a year with the stock ones with no probs but the truck is a good basher as it is and a awsome racer with a few minimal changes

why do people always ask "are you planning on bashng or racing" i dont race because i dont like the attitude of the top racers(just from my racing experince not in rc bt other race related sports) ands i dislike the technical side of racing, not to say i wouldnt enjoy racing at a sanctioned track or just w/ friends, but if i did race i wouldnt change a thing on my lst2. what would you do to your truck for racing that you couldnt or wouldnt do to it if you were bashing. besides ill bet you there arent many people who just race. everybody is a basher sooner or later. just my two cents, clay unruh

Cougar the reason why people ask about whether or not it's going to be on the track is because of the way you setup a vehicle. If you are going to be taking any monster truck to a track you are going to want to lower the ride height, add silicone diff fluid to the diffs and get rid of the grease, change out the shock oil, change tires..etc...
You can set up a MT for the track and still bash with it but you won't have the ground clearance and possibly the suspension travel that you need for major bashing.
Some peeps like to only race there mt's once they do all those changes. I personally just change out the tires and crank up the ride height when I want to bash and don't worry about the rest. Having diff fluid in the diffs will help it even if your only bashing with it. I like to always keep a set of badlands tires mounted on some wheels just for bashing. I never know when I am going to get the urge to tear up my truggy in the backyard with the wife and my lst serves as a basher and a racer as well.....

But I would reccomend RPM arms, TiNi gears, alluminum steering blocks, and lunsford turn bucles for bashing. Also adding 3mm screws to the front bulk heads and lower plates help from stripping them out on bad landings. I usually drill mine deeper so that I can install longer 3mm screws to hold the front end together and make it more bash proof. Also adding a piece of hard foam behind the front bumper will help it from failure.
So IMO thats why people ask. My $.2
