149 entries from racers in 14 states. Biggest prizes, Best atmosphere, lots of on site manufacturer reps all at the biggest MT shop in the world. World Champions John Seasock and Adam Anderson will be there, will you?
OK, it's now officially a FRENZY- Traxxas just notified me that the R/C MT ICON- STEVE SLAYDEN will be at the race as one of the Traxxas reps!!!

So it's officially april and I cannot wait to see what the track layout is going to be. Hopefully it is almost ready for release and I'll get a little bit of an idea on what setup to run.

Track design will not be posted for at least 2 more weeks. We recently attended the Vegas world finals for the full size trucks, and like Monster Jam does, we'll probably release the track design after we close registration. We're currently at 166 entries from 14 states, and typically, the entries double in the last month. Plus, I haven't plugged all the crew guys and drivers entries in yet.
I got the word from Traxxas, that they will be giving away some (at least 4) trucks including a hopped up Tmaxx (the new version) like they did in 2007.
Our goal is to make the track and freestyle course unlike anything ever seen before.

166 entries for the RC world finals!

I have a question regarding qualifing. A friend of mine heard that because there are so many entries already signed up that there will be qualifying Friday night and if you don't make the cut, that's it, you're done. Is this true that there is a cut to make the race where I guess only the faster guys will be allowed to race? It seems like bad information to me because guys that travel maybe even up to 20 hours would arrive and possibly not be able to race? Can you please let me know if that is untrue so I can let him know?

thanks

As advertised from day 1, The event starts Friday May 23rd. Racers must check in on Friday. IF racers can not make it to qualifying, and they confirm this ahead of time, we will drop them to the slowest qualifyer in their class.
If entries don't go over 250 (doubtful) we won't have to start so early on Friday.
The rough estimate of times is: we're allowing 3 minutes for each race (2 entries per race) so if there are 300 entries at an average of 1 1/2 minutes per racer, that is 450 minutes or 7 1/2 hours. This does not allow for prize givaways or any down time. that is for 1 round. This is the reason we need to get all qualifying done on Friday.
As far as cutting people- that is incorrect. All racers will be allowed to qualify and be placed in the appropriate bracket for elimination racing.

I sent the flyer to rctv live a while back. where is it on the site? As far as coverage-it's a possibility. Many developments in the works that will be announced after RCX.

You want CRAZY!!! I have decided that I will be racing 2 trucks in the Big Block class. An HPI Savage X 4.6 RTR and a Losi Raminator. These trucks will be given away to the 1st person that eliminates me. Thinking about calling them the "you beat me, you KEEP ME" trucks. i'm not going down w/o a fight, but this gives fellow racers the chance to take home a $400+ truck for winning 1 race. OFF THE CHAIN! Tell me another event that does this kind of stuff.
180 entries from 15 states.

NL website has been updated (HOME, NEWS and SCHEDULE) and more small stuff. The entry info is a few days old.
Micro, yes rctvlive will continue to support/promote the event and will be showing highlights on one of their shows-it's a cool site!!
So like I said
LOSI becomes the first manufacturer for 2008 to break the $3,000 level !!! 4 Big block trucks, fuel, shirts. bags and more!!!! Thanks Losi!
Big block class has 85 entries and we have a month to go.
