Default Tekno Revo Conversion Question

I finish my Tekno conversion last nite. I have an 8xl with 4S lipo and a mamba SC. When I run it the truck didnt seem to have that snap that everyone is talking about. It didnt do any wheelies and seem to be a bit soft on the take off. I have my clutch shoes set in the leading position as the instruction says. Could it be slipping some how?

Do you guys use the clutch spring? I am running the stock ratio. What ratio is recommended. Any idea why mine is so soft on the take off? My mamba is at 0% on the punch control already.

I will try a new clutch spring tonite...

What ratio are you guys running?

Are you guys locking the 2nd speed? If so, does the motor still have enough torque for a quick pickup?

You're right...bad clutch spring and it was the 2nd speed being stuck as well. So it took a lot of rpm before the clutch engages, than when it does, it was in 2nd.

Also be sure your slipper is set right. I run mine about a half turn out. If it's too loose you'll definitely be losing your snap there.

If you've never seen the Tekno conversion run check it out:

im soon to be getting this conversion and running a traxxas VXL and 3s. it pushes my e-maxx great and blows away my 3.3 revo, so its soon gonna be in my revo. and if it doesnt run it how i like, im planning on putting a GP ammo 36-56-1800 and 4s with a mamba max
