Default monster truck v. stadium truck for bashing

Will an electric 4wd monster truck, like the e-maxx or the e-savage, do better for backyard bashing than a good stadium 2wd? I am having trouble with grass and tufts that are too much for a 2wd ST. On dirt or pavement, the thing just rocks, but it just doesn't get it over rough terrain, and I was wondering if I might do better with an MT instead?

Tire size plays a big role on grass. The bigger the tire, the easier it will roll over grass.

I have seen the E-savage with the lid off and it looks like a quality ride, but I don't know that much about the E-Maxx other than people seem to like it. Opinions?

I would def. say that Monster Trucks are a lot more ideal for the backyard basher. Grass is a killer for anything without ground clearance. I've had a bit of everything and will tell you that something with bigger tires and higher chassis will get the job done a lot better than an ST. Stadiums are built mainly for racing and thats where they thrive.

As far as 4wd.. Its nice but not needed. Even a 2wd Stampede will be a lot better in grass than a stadium because of the high ground clearance and slightly larger tires. If you want to spend extra on batteries and stuff, then Emaxx, E-savage/E-zilla would be ok too..
