I would recommend the 645 for throttle/brake duties, or even another 985, the 625 are allright, but the stronger the better, not for the throttle necessarily, but for the brakes. I was looking at getting a 985 for my mugen mbx5t and my revo 3.3. But a 645 will do the job, and the speed difference is hardly noticeable. The strength will be, especially pulling against that monger throttle return spring. Looks good though, I'll get pics of mine posted with my new bodies later...

Default Sold the Glock Revo

Well, I sold the glock, black revo. Needed a bit of money, and decided I could get another truck and keep the hopup list under wrangle and not spend so much money on it. U know, keep it simple. So I sold that one , and heres the "new" truck:

The 40s are wicked cool lookin. But I noticed a blown bearing/carrier. So thats in repair now. Waiting on that part. The wheel had baaadd wobble in it. The stub axle blew the yoke, and the carrier is also so worn, the bearings just slide right out. The condition is a lot of slop in the stub axle thus the wheel.

The OS 18TM should be wicked fun. It came with a Sirio 18 but I sold that engine already. Ive got a Fantom pipe due to arrive , bought it on ebay , found a greeat deal . Got it for bout 15 bucks!!

Things that came on the truck:
  • Red pushrods
  • Lunsford turnbuckles
  • 40 series / wabash 23mm
  • P2 rockers
  • airtronics 64360 now throttle, was steering
  • Hitec 525 was throttle, now sold away
  • Proline Aluminum steering arm
  • OS18TM
  • Sirio 18 as extra engine (sold it)
  • Orange/ gold springs

I decided to get a used DX3 to man the steed. I need a steering servo still, thinking hitec 985. The truck had a wing, but I didnt like it, sold that away. Need a body. That should about cover it. Im thinking about racing!! I guess well see...!

Well there she is. Wish me luck, hope to have fun with her!

Heres a latest picture:

Heres another fool!!

and another??

Update: the truck is ready! But!!!,.. I need a steering servo, a body , and thats it. Just got that perty RDRAcing starterbox, like that??!

I got the starterbox two reasons: 1) I had to disasemble the OS to make it pullstart able. And didnt feel up to it. The startershaft I had did not fit on the end of the OS crankshaft. There was no knub there for the startershaft to connect to. I had to swap out the crank. AND, my starter shaft didnt look like it was the right one either!! So, I decided to go with a box. Cause, I also had number 2 in mind....2) I want to race it!!!!!!! I wanna get into racing a bit and the box is a good unit when racing I guess.. Quick starts, efficient, less problems... When I bash or race, it will be nice, so I spent the extra dough...

Still havent started the truck yet. Like I said, waiting on the last few parts..

Couple of questions:
What plug do you guys use in your OSTM?
What is the stock needle settings on this OSTM?? I know that traxxas was 4 to 5 out on the HSN and flush with the LSN... Is OS the same?

Well, cant wait to see her rip!! Wish me luck!

Thanks all.

domindart: Here's the needle settings for the OS .18TM

- High Speed Needle (Needle Valve) 2-1/2 turns out from closed
- Mid Range Needle (Mixture Control Valve) Screw head is exactly
1/2 turn in from flush with the carb body (pg 22 of manual)
- Low Speed Needle (Metering Needle) Screw head flush with
ball link body (pg 22 of manual)

Settings taken from towerhobbies.

As for the glow plugs, the recommended is the O.S. LC3.

Thanks dude! I also found the manual in pdf format at the OS site..

I just found out though, that I have to make or find a spacer for my OSTM. Ever heard of this ? Its called a RD Racing Piston Spacer. I can make one with a dremel, out of a pushrod P2 spacer. But Id like to try to find one (RD RAcing doesnt have them any longer Im told, but I will try to contact them, if they still have a site up).
