I would think it really depends on what you want out of the truck, i think the wheely king is a good overall pick up and go fun truck, and the e-savage, and e-maxx are better of the 3 for bashing, and what not.

Apples and Oranges...The Wheelie King is 1/12 scale designed for a whole different type of playing, The E-Maxx and E-Savage are 1/10 Scale, they have better suspension and more travel, More speed. Designed for a different type of playing. With that said, For me the Wheelie King would fit better for what I want in a "fun" RC, It's cheaper and very upgradeable, A 4700 LiPo pack fits perfect in the battery box, It can take a brushless motor (540 size) with no problems, you can buy HD diff gears, for some of us it fits in the budget better than the E-Maxx or E-Savage. For about the same price of the E-Maxx or E-Savage I can have a Wheelie King and get a brushless motor & speed controller for it. Stock you can get 15 to 20 minutes of run time with a 1500ma battery on the Wheelie King. With a brushless and lipos you should be able to get at least 20 to 30 minutes of run time..and that equals a lot of fun time...

all depends on how hard you are gonna be driving. if you want to seriously bash it, go with an e-maxx. cant go wrong with it. i love mine. whellie king wont take as hard of a beating, but will still be good for playing around in the street or yard.

I would go with the E-SAVAGE. Comes with everything you need for the same price as the e-maxx. Even comes with 2 x batteries and a charger that chargers two batteries.

Cheers

e-savage for standard r/c MT bashing. hands down the best of the 3.

or you can listen to Oasis. he makes good points and no need to restate them.
