Get the X5T, gearing or no gearing, everything I have seen or heard says that the truck.

Now go play with your "frikken Lasers"

The fact that the STR is narrower than the mugen really isnt an issue. Most of the people around here with Jammins are even going to zero offset rims to get narrower, which gives better steering. Also on the issue of rubbing, they shouldnt, and you wont have to worry about it if you just cut the inside rib of the wheel and glue the tire to the one next to the one you cut off. Hope that helps.

Yes the str rims do rub however it is in no way an issue. After a tank or so the tie rod ends get worn a bit and the problem is solved. Just grinding a 45 on the rim takes care of the problem as well.

Now that I have had both I would get the Mugen. You wont have to shim the diffs like a pro and it feels more durable for the long mains. The STR is way better in the rough and the tight stuff though. With some narrower wheel adapters I think you could get the Mugen to turn just as well too.

Ok I have 1.5 gallons on the Mugen truck and have only had 1 minor issue(cvd pin backed out a little). After 1.5 gallons on the STR I already spent 50bux on all new diff gears and a broken front arm.

Well the Mugen truck seems to be faster for me. I finally got on the podium this year for the first time. The 2 trucks in front of me were both STR's though

i think it's all going to come down to the best bang for your buck, in which the Mugen is the victor.

After driving both, if you are on a budget,. i would go with the Mugen MBX5T, if you are not on a budget, i would look into the STR and buy the new BCE extended chassis, i heard the STR is freakin insane with that chassis design.

both notable kits, but it loosk like i will be driving the new mugen for the rest of this year and the whole next year as well. good times!

its awesome to have so many kits to choose from!

I need some help on truggies. I am an electric guy and going to get a truggy but I don't know the difference between the mugen mbx5t or the mbx5t-PROSPEC.
