New to RC, picked up a T-Maxx some questions..
Hey guys I finally picked up a RC truck, the 2.5 Tmaxx. I love it but have a few issues I bet some of you might of had.
First problem was the reverse would not engage while the car was running, I looked up a few things on the net and looked into the high idle and that was not the problem. I did not want to mess with the linkage so I had the guy at the hobby shop fix it and it worked great. While there he also adjusted the engine and it worked great there.
I get home and break it out and it was great but always stalled at idle or brake. So I end up bringing it in and he fixed it then when I get home the same thing it would stall at idle, guess he kept it going at the shop.
Finally I got the thing to idle without stalling by playing with the trim button on the radio. I just had to find a happy median between not stalling and being slow enough to go from forward to reverse.
I don't like the fact that 2 small slicks of the radio trim button can F it all up, is something setup wrong?
I'm totally new to the hobby, I love it and want to learn as much as possible anything is welcome!
