Default Best Monster Truck against the Truggies?

I am considering doing a truggy but like the versitality of the traditional monster trucks. So here is my questions, of the monster trucks out there, which would stand the best chance of hanging with the truggies and why. Also, what are the common upgrades to do to this monster truck for durability and handling, other than changing to a foward only tranny as I would still want the reverse functionality.

Thats interesting you say the savage, has there been a significant redesign as last time I got to see those race there were quite top heavy even with the lower CG chassis plates.

with all the mod, like mr. john did, and with current motor technology, u can compete with them. im not saying definitely u can be champion. but driving do lots of thing in the result of a race. as again, John proved.

the other one, as i said muggy of adam drake.

Get a revo, its race and bash worthy, ive put a gallon through my reov with the 3.3 and i havent broken one stock part.
ther are many mods to make it a basher or a racer. but big motor in it like a 3.3 or somthing bigger if u want and ull have no problem keeping up.
savages are more for bashing IMO

The Jammin CRT is a definite choice for a truggy. Love it!

There are still rumblings that Team Losi may introduce a truggy kit for their LST2. Wouldn't take much!

With Losi's introduction of the 8ight...I wonder if they will R&D a hybrid of the LST2 and the 8ight!?

How about the TNX Pro? I know it doesn't have a big block, but it's got a chassis that seems to be the perfect length, has a good power to weight ratio, and isn't too wide so you'll be able to corner well. And it's about as simple as an MT can get which is nice when it's time to work on something.

Thanks for all the info guys. I was actually looking at a pretty suped up TNX before I found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:B:AAQ:US:1

After reading up on it, plus all it was going to come (that suspension in particular) I decided it was the right choice for the money. Looking foward to getting it in.

that GS is a truggy and wont be legal for MT classes but Im sure you are aware of that.

also, be sure and stock up on parts because you will likely be the only one at the track with one and the hobby shops likely wont have any parts in stock for it.

Thanks for the info. I figured to run in the truggy class. Out here locally though I think the classes may be combined depending on turnout.

As for parts saw several places online to stock up.

Default rock concepts savvy

Trust me the Rock concepts Savage is a racing stud. I have one! You cant turn the thing over! It's also for sale in the buy/sell forum. I need an 1/8th scale buggy. They quit racing MT's at my local track!

Stock or mod for mod an LST or REVO is going to be faster than a savage.

Driver is 80% of the equation, I CRUSH the truggies @ my track w/ my LST2 because the drivers need alot more practice and setup experience.
