Default What monster truck

Hello i'm going to get another monster truck but wanting to know which is more easy to work on and better built for the price. My first pick is a REVO 3.3 but i also like the looks of the Savage but i have heard they cost more to replace parts and yes they are built to bash but im wanting one that wont break my pocket every run. So what should i get?

the revo would not be a bad choice. the only thing i have broken in mine, was a spur gear, after setting my mesh wrong... lol. most hobbyshops carry traxxas parts, so availability isnt too much of a problem.

consider what you will be doing with the truck. will you be doing high jumps? or racing at the track? the revo is better on the track, and the savage for big jumps (over5 feet).

but there are many factors. go online, and google up some pictures of both, and see what you like. go to the magazine sites and read the reviews, do some research!

good luck!

Well im not much for racing im more for bashing and just running hard and running over things. I know the the REVO is great and all but im not wanting to put 530.00 in a truck right at go. So im looking at the Savage because a buddy of mine has one and he loves his. I just want a good strong truck that is pretty easy to work on. I heard because of the way the Sav is it's pretty hard to work on, you almost have to take the motor off to work on it is this true? And if i decide on the Sav. which kit or rtr should i get?

If you were looking at buying a savage I would go the 4.6 SS. These come in kit form so you have to build it yourself. The advantage of this is you wont find it hard to work on as you will know it like the back of your hand. It comes with alot of heavy duty upgrades as well. Everyone goes on how hard they are to work on, but once you have had it for a while you will find they are not to bad. Ive had mine for nearly a year now and have only ever replaced a broken front steering cup. Maybe I have been lucky, but I can tell you now there is no other truck as strong as a SAVAGE.

if ur gona get a savage get the 4.6ss kit and a nice 3 channel radio if u dont already got 1,they kick ass,ive had mine for around 6 months now and i havnt broken anything on it apart from a melted spur gear wich was my fault lol.....ive done high speed cartwheels, jumped my house and released my anger on my truck one day wen i was realy angry and i was going full speed and i would turn to one side and itll just flip and tumble everywere and nothing has broken on it!!!

this truck is totally insane and its not as hard to work on as u think it is,only thing wen u are starting to build it do your diffs because its gona be REALY annoying to do later on lol

it is by far the monster truck king

o and dont forget its got AUSOME after market support too....AND due to the new savage x coming out the price on the 4.6 has dropped pretty dam low if u ask me,real good tho because u can spend that discounted cash on more hopups for it lol

You get what you pay for. The LST2 is bar none the best MT on the market today. It's a racer. It's a basher. It's one of the fastest and toughest MT's. It comes with a FM synthesized radio...no other MT's come with that. Plus you get the unparalleled Team Losi support. Spend the extra money and get the quality/upgrades.

LST/2 you wont regret it. Cost a little more but you get what you pay for.
Easy to work on, tough, fast. And it comes with a very good Tx-RX. The servo's are OK and will last awhile.
I have 7 MT's and 3 are LST's for a reason
I race and I run over the revo 3.3's and there are no savages racing.
The revo & savage are very good trucks. They are both tough and can be fast but the LST is a MONSTER. The Revo can actually be a damn good racer. But for sure the LST is the way to go.
