Default Changing Rotostart for Pullstart

If I get into my posession a F4.1 with a rotostart backplate, could I just purchase this, change it out, and be up and running?

Also, is it possible to use a different, cheaper one?

i use one of those to replace my S-25 roto. if the F4.1(Savage X's) only been modified internally, then it should fit... in a savage of coz.

Err, whoops. It's going into, what I believe, a Savage 25. Bought it second hand, all savages look practically the same to me right now (have an E-maxx)... The F4.1 is comming to be out of a 'chop shop then on ebay' Savage X I believe.

Also, if anyone has the hand held part of the roto-start they are willing to get go with for cheap...

If you already have some 7.2 volt packs laying around, you can pick up the start unit for around $30AU. Where are you BTW??

I just bought the roto-start package for my 4.6, I may be interested in parting with the handheld starter - as I plan to use my cordless drill. Let me know if you are interested, I don't have it yet since I just bought it on Ebay last night after I tore up my pullstarter.

I live in Hawaii, and would truthfully only consider a rotostart assembly for $20 including shipping...

I was looking around more on Towerhobbies, and would this Ofna pullstarter work on the HPI engine?

EDIT: Looked around more; would this pull starter work on the F4.1?

If the pullstart fits the old HPI .21 or .25 engine it will fit the 4.1.

What if it's for a different brand engine?

All I know is if it fits the other 2 engines I mentioned, it will fit the 4.1. Sorry I cant be more specific but I don't have any experience with Ofna pullstarts.

I ended up buying the HPI pullstart for $26 from my LHS. Ouch, wished it could be less... Then again, the rotostart, handheld part they were willing to sell me was $40. If I go back before I start it up, I will hope they have the $5 starter shaft I can use with my drill.
