Soft tires & low gearing. What kind of axles & chassis do you have? A Clod?

Easy now I will help if I can.
When I rock crawl my Clodbuster I use a very low gear ratio, like an 11 tooth pinion.
You can also try running your tires without foam inserts, this will let the tires deform around rocks and stuff easier.
When rock crawling remember that the slower you go the better your truck will climb over stuff.
You really do not need any special trick stuff just try new things to see what works.

as i am not a pro in this subject, Mr R/c has told you some important points you should do. i also am in the middle of a rock crawler/jumper/basher, its a sstamppede 4x4 with linlk suspension and i am just using maxx tires, motors, and EVx. Since you are building a jugg, (i think) you can get an account to rcmt.net and people always have jugg parts for sale, they also give the best info, people are very nice. check it out.

well i hope this did something,
good luck

You may have to break down and buy new Jugg parts.

That will be an awfully short wheelbase for rock crawling. You will have a tendency to tip when it gets a little steep.
