What you guys think of running some 13.5 wheeler? Heard of some interest in the state a few weeks back. Few of us are working on building some up locally. Also another class I've been asked about a few times is E truggy. Anyone run them?

Is that going to be 13.5 blinky or 13.5 open for wheeler?

Thanks

We started running 17.5 blinky in 2wd last year. The class grew a lot because of the switch, cars are more controllable ect. We have been allowing the D3.5 in offroad due to everyone having them laying around. I beleive our rules state any 17.5 with blinky speed control.

Early indications for 10th 4wd buggy is that we will do any 13.5 with blinky speed control just to keep things simply. We haven't had our meeting yet to vote on it but the ones of us who are buying cars have kind of all agreed blinky would be best.

The nice thing about keeping it blinky is that the $50 hobbywing just stock xr10 would work for the class and would help keep costs down. 13.5 motors are a dime a dozen around here so it won't cost a lot for guys to get into the class.

The Warren MN RC Underground group technically runs "open" 1/10 4wd but a lot of guys have gravitated to basically 13.5 blinky motors or 10.5 motors due to the track conditions.

My daughter and I both run 13.5 blinky at Warren track and would most likely use that setup again if its a class option.

we would also do 17.5 blinky for 2wd buggy as well as that is a class that has a very large turn out in Warren as well.

I'm with Cain. I have a 13.5 blinky wheeler as well as my son that we run in Warren. I'm game for a wheeler class whatever the rules. Count me out for 2wd buggy, my B6 isn't going to see any dirt unless its indoor clay. I may decide to get a Ebuggy again thought!?

We will run it as blinky as well. The class has some potential I believe.

Daniel, you might as well pick up an E buggy! Seems to have a good number of guys.

Snow should be gone in the next few days!!!!!

So blinky for both 2&4wd 1/10? Just want to make sure since I'll need motors for both and I only have 1 esc that does blinky

Any opinions on 2wd? I haven't really been involved enough on the 2wd side to say if we really need to limit that class as well.

The 4wd will be 13.5 blinky for sure.

sounds like it. the XR10 Just stock looks to be a good option for a new esc. using a better capacitor on the ESC helps with temps I am seeing and is a cheap upgrade, like $10.

I know at least for indoors 17.5 has been popular blinky mode. If we run 2wd buggy outdoors we would run that class if offered.

Cain, what motors have been popular for the blinky classes over there?

Got myself setup with my 13.5 wheeler this week. Build is done. Went all smc for electronics. Keith is also a dealer now for smc so electronics and batteries can be snagged off him if looking.
