Default "Up the Creek" Summer Series presented by Oak Creek R/C

Hello Everyone,

At our meeting for off-road the other night it was decided to do a points series at our Sawyer track independently this summer.

Dates:
June 29th
August 3rd
September 5th-7th

The race in September will be the traditional two day event with practice Friday night, 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday, 1 round of qualifying on Sunday and the mains.

Classes:
We have decided that only 4 classes will be included in the series. They will consist of:

-8th electic buggy
-4wd Short course
-2wd Short course
-2wd electric buggy

The reason for this is that we have enough cars to run these classes on a regular basis at our club so we do not want to fill the series up with a bunch of classes with only 2 or 3 drivers. If there are 4 cars of a particular class (ex. truggy or 4wd buggy) we will still run them on those days they just will not be included in the series. Rules in all classes will be the same as normal racing.

Points:
Points will be tallied in our normal fashion (100 for first, 98 for second, 96 for third, 95 for fourth and fill in down the line. 1 bonus point will be awarded for the TQ each week.)

There will be no throw outs. All three races count and must be attended to be in contention for the points.

Prizes:
The prizes to be given in each class will consist of the following:

-1st place $100 gift certificate to Stormer Hobbies
-2nd place $75 gift certificate to Stormer Hobbies
-3rd place $50 gift certificate to Stormer Hobbies

In addition to the prizes for winner the classes, at the Series finale in September we have set aside a very generous amount of money to be spent on door prizes for all the racers in attendance. (For those who attended the Wild about Wheels race it will be comparable to that)

Costs:
Normal race fees will be charged. There will be no additional cost for running in the series.

Thanks and hope to see you all this summer!!!
