I've been thinking about the indoor R/C racing in the Twin Cities since Eric's post. I started racing in the cities in 1990, here is a list of the offroad tracks I can remember, not one was a failure in my opinion, each one took tons of heart and dedication, and ALWAYS help from the racers!
Hub Hobby- Little Canada
Northstar hobbies- Blaine
Macs models- Little Canada
Trackside hobbies-St.Paul then New Brighton
Fun City- Elk River
Central R/C- MPLS
MHR- Brooklyn Park
TCHR- Brooklyn park (2 locations)
MMR- St. Louis Park
There are many other onroad locations, some at these locations. The main thing I remember from each place is the friends I've made, some of them still my best friends from all those years ago. We all worked hard to create a scene that was non existent here and everyone should be proud of that! Every place was a success, just going for it!

Awesome post. I loved the state champs race in Bemidji back in the day. I have some old videos from that race and Starbuck with Kraig K and I interviewing people using a wrench as a microphone. I was very young and remember watching the shenanigans after the races and thinking these are crazy people and here I am still racing 15 years later. People that raced at Valley Hobby in Fargo can remember the great races we had there too.
