If they are going to modify the infield on the one side, does it make sense to consider the other this season or perhaps the next?
It's cool that they are adding an infield tho..

A small kicker is being added in the back stretch but there will not be anything added to the sweeper and straight on the track, as the track sits it is incredible to race with 1/10th 1/8th and 1/5th.
The addition is to be able to mix it up from week to week.
Add a need to increase the amount of brake needed and amount of off corner accel, instead of mid throttle roll that the track requires now, the mid throttle pulls are by far harder for most to master off the corner.

Oh I cant wait for the snow to be gone. I was out running the Marder in the snow trying to clear the track faster.

foam works great, touring car is running an 40r 42 front, good wear.
the surface has been coated to increase abrasion, the original surface was extremly smooth, we will have to run the new section before we decide if it needs to be coated, most likly it will just to ensure traction is similar through the whole track. the rubber groove is pretty thick as the large scale lay a very nice traction patch.
Traction would be comparable to most europeaon tracks, very similar to a sugar track but more consistent week to week, but not nearly as severe traction as a vht track.
PMT makes a rubber 1/8th scale tire, I do not recommend as witht he loss of traction compared to current foams would make the car feel very loose.

What are the popular 200mm nitro cars at the Shoe?
Since it looks as though off-road racing at FHF is on hold for this summer, I may have to get back into on-road. I have an V-One S, but I'm looking to upgrade.
Though I'd like to go with Serpent or Kyosho, I'm leaning towards the R40 or NTC3 because of local parts availability.

I could give you a setup for the F1, and for a serpent touring car?
the offroad track was built to accomadate the large scale cars, so it is very good size. with plenty of space to adjust. one of the large goals was to build the track with no walls, grass and space for lane dividers, and some elevation changes.
