thanxs to all who came to the race,
you think the "rubbing" was amazing this time... let's speed things up. The only plus to that is that there is more real-estate to spread out cars. Longer tracks amplify the differences in speed. and you'd have to run wider so you could sweep the corners and keep the speed up. This puts you broadside to the guys bombing the dots head on. Only he's not going 20 anymore, he's going 25.

I'd be for figuring out how to come up with 2 tracks, one short, one long, on a 48x100. With the small one in the center, for smaller cars and spec racing and open up the big oval to more faster endeavors.

I will say this though. Until you've been ejected from a carpet surface at a cement wall at 45mph, you haven't had a good time. We're gonna need snow fence all the way around that thing. Crowd would LOVE IT!

It is about the crowd at this event. I'm open to any idea that keeps the crowd happy, but more importantly keeps interest up and cultivates new racers in the minot area. Other wise, there really is no reason to do that much work.

A few of us talked about it after the race on sunday but next year we are going to do a little different layout with the two tracks. We are going to get our computer table in the center of both tracks with some extra speakers that way we have a PA system for the bomber course too. That woud make a big difference.

Thanks to everyone that made it to this race, it was a fantastic weekend. Bomber class was a hit, good job Bob! Just need to tweak the computer so it is more efficient next year! The racing was awesome as usual, so many racers so close, anyone can win, that is the fun part. Congrats to Tyler for winning WGT, you drove away and didn't look back, that was awesome. Now do that out in Washington!!

Special thanks to everyone that helped set up and helped tear down, that is a lot of work to do, Thanks again.

Sorry it took so long I've been lazy.

Here's the link.........

It is very difficult to take pictures of the fast moving cars indoors so you'll have to weed through them yourself.
