On another note, to all the people with Wgt cars out there, you guys can bring them, all we need to get is five or six and we will run them even though they are not listed on the flyer above.

These races in front of crowds are important to support. We're out in public, not hiding in a warehouse somewhere.

How many folks last year? Good power and pit spaces? track size?

780 miles one way. Heck the cars not even warmed up yet in that short a run.

Thanks,
-Bob

I am not sure of exact numbers but I think we had around 120 entries last year. The track is pretty big wiita will know the dimensions. The rest of the arena is for the car show so we do get plenty of people that stop by and watch. Would be great to see you show its a great time

Here is a video of a race last year.

If you watch the video we are going to get more space over towards where the car show is so there will be a lot more room for pitting and power is not a problem.

Hey bob, Track is 100X48. The 120 range is about what we have. Although, More guys have been coming from Milwaukee area. its not uncommon to see people 3 deep around the outside of the track watching. Pit space is not an issue and you will have plenty of room. Plenty of power as well. Competition is always good unless mitch shows up and waxes us all. If you guys decide to come and run just let me know and I can get you all of the hotel and track info.

100% Agree! This is my favorite type of event. Racing is a little secondary with the kids and the crowds around makes it really fun. You hear them calling out who is going to win to their parents etc like friday night at the dirt track.

I even make a proposal for this year: Heads up starts for qualifying.

Yep I said it. Make every time to the line a race. The general crowd has no concept of the IFMAR type starting we do. By the time of the weekend we actually get to the mains, the show is over, the crowd is gone and only we are left to settle the score. We know that for the most part positions will not be much different anyway. Not like it's the Nats here. For the crowd!

Aaron

PS. Bob, my greatest story is from way back in the day at an off-road race where you tied old Futaba radios to the cars with a string and had to drag them around the track. That was an absolute riot!!

Thinking about it. Just curious if stock would be blinky or open speedo. Just not sure if I would run mod or stock. Defend my title or hang onto a missile without any practice????

Open speedo sir, and you could likely hang onto the missile even without practice. We will make the track missile friendly!
