We have wooden jumps and have cut up pieces of our old carpet track to make landing pads from and simulate terrain with. Here is another copy of our flier with entry fee details.

Getting TC running again in Grand Fork will be great.

Here is something cool that will help get R/C going in Grand Forks. Recently, I heard Hawks Hobby Heaven in Grand Forks was moving to a new, larger place. Later, I found out it is a building just east on Gateway Drive (Highway 2) of my place KRC Raceway on the south side of the road across from John Deere. I stopped by their new place and it turns out the owner bought out HobbyTown and will be adding sales of R/C stuff to his business. Before this, he just sold cards, games, trains, collectible and etc. This guy runs a great shop, is fair minded and more than happy to work with us. This is what a track needs, hobby shops that will both promote and support it! We did not have that with HobbyTown. Things are looking good.

I am sure Hawks will do fine. Their old place was doing very well; they just outgrew it. The owner of the place does not need to work being financially set, so has no pressure to compete against us at KRC for business. He just put up the place for his own enjoyment and to give the area a place to get quality hobby products. We welcome their support for our area.

Grayson and I just finished returning the racetrack to onroad and vacuuming. It is ready for Sunday's races. Doors open at 9:30AM. Please be signed in by 10:30AM to ensure entry into the 1st quaifying rounds. Thank you.

Kevin got a question. Can we run stock tires for our sct cars or do we have to fun foams when we come n race up there.

Stock tires are fine. They are a kind of on/off, all terrain design. What we are trying to stay away from is spikes and pins that can rip things up and make the surface fuzzy. I have been running some soft step pins that have the first step worn off, so are pretty flat and smooth.

i currently have some stock tires on it now, but i have some spike prolines that are softs but are worn down to be smooth. I cant make it up this weekend to there to race this weekend but ill be up next weekend.

OFFROAD LAYOUT IS SET UP FOR EVENING PRACTICE AND RACING SUNDAY 10/17

Racers:

KRC Raceway is set up for off-road carpet racing Sunday 10/17. I will also be on site Thursday evening 10/14 working on things, so anyone that would like to stop in to practice or just say hello is welcome.

Time to get some action going! See you at the track.
