Where and what class would I race in?
I'm thinkin of picking up a Traxxas Revo 3.3, it looks bone stock and the guy says its 3yrs old or so.
What class could this thing be raced in, and which tracks run that class?
Thanks

The production Monster Truck class is all but dead now days. Sometimes there may be a few at the races but not often. I've seen a few thrown in with a Sportsman class made up of various cars just to make a class for beginners of those with minimal driving experience. You may want to look into a truggy if at all possible. They're forgiving for a new driver and there's usually a Truggy class at most races in the area.
Go to mnnitroseries.com and read up on there. You have several options in MN as far as places to race.

I aggree with Torion, Me being a huge Monster truck fan, if possible, get a truggy or even a short course truck. We are parking our Monsters after this year and getting into the buggys along with our truggys and SC trucks. the MT class has been dieing off every year and I have'nt seen many manufactures coming out with anything new thats worth racing anymore..with all that said we'll have a couple Platinum Revos and some LST2 s' for sale later on..

Probably not many places to run a Revo, and if they do allow it, you'll most likely be racing against race bred Truggies.
As far as running an SC10, Full Throttle in Foley, MN will have indoor racing this winter, and they have an open short course class that any brand can run in (similar to Rochester's short course class). The Full Throttle indoor track is small, but it's dirt, and the racing is always fun.
