Rain finally stopped here. For a little while at least. Is anyone planning on running on Sunday? and if yes, what? I won't be in the field and I am itching to do some driving. Thanks
Yes we will run here in Pingree on Sunday starting about noon not a race but a day of fun and tuning. Run what you bring. We have new 1/12, WGT and, VTA cars that need some track time.

Sparky and I got a chance to go and run some laps with some of the Pingree boys this last sunday. The old 4 cell 27 turn car was ALMOST as fast as Tyler's 1s 17.5 car. I have a hard time believing that any motor can pull that kind of gearing.. but they do. My VTA car finally got some laps on it. It is definately not a speed demon, but seems to work pretty well. Now I just have to get MY tires to hold glue and get em scuffed a bit, and I am good to go.
Thanks again for a great time guys,
Ian

Is there any interest in racing 1/18 in pingree. I have one.
Cain wants to bring his 1/16 down from Fargo. I'll bring a 1/18, that makes 3 with rc18/xxxt's. Check with Hector - if he comes on the 7th that's 4 - enough for a class. Larsons also have several, we just need to let them know to bring them along.
Bummer about the Tundra Randy. Chris got his second doe with his Cavalier last month. Damned car is cursed but it keeps driving away after the accidents somehow. Last winter he hit one 1/2 mile from our house. I just pulled the fender out of the tire and sent him off to school in it.

I race electrics, why am I always pitting for nitro's?
Just need a part to come in on the 1/16 to run it.
For the VTA class, for the tires, how do you know when they are good to go? I heard of people running them on concrete or something similar to scrape they up a bit.

No Deven or Hector coming this weekend so it looks like no 1/18 scale. I'll throw mine in just in case enough others show to make a class. Can't wait to try my hand at VTA!

cain, when you run them on concrete it is basically "siping them" or where you cut cross groves in the tread face to break up the rubber in order to make them seem"softer" a little paragon and then rub them down good before you race can get them nice and tacky too, i think that stuff in paragon is left over from the cold war
chuck c.
you can do this with a razor blade as well, what angle you do it at will also affect performance. The actually make a tool that looks like a bunch of razor blades in a row to do this on big cars.
