20th Annual Magic City Classic
I just wanted to remind everybody that the 20th Annual Magic City Classic is coming up in just 4 short weeks. Hopefully everybody has marked the weekend of March 11-13 off on their calendar.
Everything is coming together to make this a great event. T-shirt design is being finalized, prizes are already arriving, etc. Kevin W. is in charge of fabricating a lift base so we can safely get he and Buttsy (and anyone else who might need a lift) onto the stage.
PLEASE NOTE: We need your paid first entry in-hand no later than February 27 to have your T-shirt size guaranteed. We have to turn in the order on March 1 to ensure they can be produced in time for the event. Please be sure note your T-shirt size on the entry form. You only need to commit to your first class (the one the T-shirt comes as part of the entry fee) and you can enter / pay for additional class(es) when you arrive. We will, of course, order additional T-shirts but you will DEFINITELY be on a catch as catch can basis if we don't have your pre-entry.
Entry form can be downloaded in .pdf form at http://www.magiccityrc.com/flyers/Fl...ty_Classic.pdf PLEASE be sure you mail your entry to the address shown at the bottom of the flyer as "Mail to", NOT to the actual Shrine itself.
Anywho, hope to see you at the Classic!! HOPEFULLY SOMEBODY CAN GRAB COOKIE ON THE WAY THROUGH AND BRING HIM...I'd like a few of the locals to get a look at his skilz!!
Thanks,
Scottrik

We want the one and only TQCookie!! I'm STILL tellin' folks here about his incredible TQ run in VTA at the Casino. Best time 11.0, top 5 laps 11.0, top 10 laps 11.0, top 20 laps 11.1...A run that fast and that consistent was an INCREDIBLE thing to see, much less to experience that much beat-down running with him.
I should also mention that there are a limited number of RV power hook-ups for anyone who would like to bring a motorhome, camper or trailer. There are four 30-amp services and a single 50-amp service. The 50-amp is tentatively spoken for, but the others are available. We will reserve the hook-ups with paid entries that request a hook up (just write it in the margin on the entry form). Please note that these are not water or sewer hook-ups, just power.
Prizes continue to roll in, and we're building a couple new "challenges" for the track. Trophies are scheduled for production. Should be a 20th Anniversary bash to remember!!

I don't know if anybody will be there. I'm in Bismarck for a wedding. Keith B, i'm thinking was busy with wrestling tournament. Don't know about Richard the Lurker. Stiffler, let me know what your plans are. As of now, no one will be at the track on Saturday. Will post if that changes. Mike

Cain, if at all possible you should try to make it Sunday. Ian, Jon, and myself are planning on going. Ian is bringing two of his kids who have never raced before and if you had your daughter there she could race with them as well. Not sure if Jon is planning on bringing his daughter or not. Would be cool to have them all in their own class.
